Yes, the app is free to download. Work on a local model is completely free and uses no credits. Cloud models are billed per task, exactly as on the web.
Does anything leave my computer when I use a local model?
No. A local model runs on your machine, and nothing you send to it leaves your computer.
Which build do I need?
On a Mac, pick Apple silicon or Intel (Apple menu → About This Mac tells you which). On Windows, one installer covers both x64 and ARM64 PCs.
Do scheduled local agents run when my computer is off?
No. A local agent runs on your computer, so its schedule only runs while the computer is on.
How do updates work?
